Start with the environment.

A field application may be used outdoors, with one hand, or between tasks. Identify the few actions that matter most in those conditions. Put assignments, essential guidance, and the next action within easy reach.

Treat connectivity as a design input.

Decide what the user can see and do offline. Show whether an update is saved locally, queued, synchronized, or needs attention. Define how conflicts will be resolved before connecting the interface to a production workflow.

Keep the operating system in mind.

Camera access, notifications, local storage, and background behaviour shape the experience. Identify the capabilities the workflow really needs and make permission requests understandable.

Plan for release and ownership.

Agree on the distribution route, testing devices, backend ownership, support process, and release responsibilities. A mobile project continues beyond the first set of screens.
